Blue Angels Help Inspire Young Eagles

Imperial County Airport in Imperial, California, holds an annual Aviation Day to educate the community about the importance of the airport and increase youth outreach through Young Eagles flights given by pilots from EAA Chapter 1. Aviation video producer Scott Plummer shared this video from last year’s event, which included three pilots from the U.S. Navy Blue Angels’ C-130 Fat Albert. The Blue Angels pilots joined chapter members in spreading the word about the importance of Young Eagles and getting youth involved in aviation.

Scott said the event is “an aviation feel good story if you’ve ever seen one.”

Next year’s Imperial County Airport Aviation Day will be January 13.
