Russell Swartzfager – Private Pilot Milestone

Russell Swartzfager – Private Pilot Milestone

Congratulations to Russell Swartzfager, EAA 1161378, who passed his private pilot checkride on February 28 out of the Crystal River Airport (KCGC) in Florida, despite some stress about the busy airspace that day. With his private certificate now in hand, Russell is planning to share his love of aviation with family by taking them on local flights. He also hopes to continue working toward his commercial certificate. Russell said he gives thanks to his wife, Hayley; his instructor, Mark; and “the great group of people known as the Flying FOOLZ, EAA Chapter 1489” for helping him achieve his private pilot goals. Congratulations, again, Russell, and blue skies as you continue training for your commercial!

Have you reached a milestone recently? Passed a checkride, given your first or hundredth Young Eagle flight, flown your homebuilt for the first time? Tell us about it at editorial@eaa.org.
