Braden Holman – Solo Milestone

Braden Holman – Solo Milestone

Congratulations to Braden Holman, EAA 1134015, who soloed in a Cessna 150 and RV-9A in addition to earning his driver’s license on his 16th birthday, August 2. Braden said he knew he was “born to fly” after taking a Young Eagles flight in an RV-8 from a former Air Force pilot at 12 years old. Since then, he’s spent much of his time flying any way he can, whether on his Microsoft Flight Simulator, flying with his grandfather, or receiving instruction in a Cessna 150, RV-9A, and Piper Cub. Braden’s grandfather Jearld Smith, EAA 604851, said Braden’s flights were flawless and the big day way celebrated with the ceremonial cutting of the shirttail. Congratulations again, Braden, and good luck as you continue pursuing your private certificate!
