Replicating the Original Breezy

Rob Unger, EAA 585561, bought this airplane a few years ago to honor his late father Carl, EAA 25215, co-creator of the Breezy. The original builder, the previous owner, and now Rob have each dedicated themselves, in succession, to painstakingly re-creating the most famous Breezy of all — the original prototype, N59Y, which is now on display at the EAA Aviation Museum in Oshkosh. Learn more about this flying tribute in the January 2017 issue of Sport Aviation magazine.
