8 Reasons Why to Fly

8 Reasons Why to Fly

May is Learn to Fly Month and there are many reasons to become a pilot. While aviation careers and other practical options are always a factor to consider when making a decision to take flying lessons, having fun should be a part of the thought process as well. Here are just a few of the cool things pilots get to do

1. Arrive in style at fly-ins throughout the country and hang out with other aviation enthusiasts.

2. Meet up with friends for a little formation flying.

3. Go off the grid to places only airplanes can reach.

4. Fly with a buddy.

5. Feel the wind on your face with ultralight or light-sport flying.

6. Challenge your flying skills by learning aerobatics.

7. Experience the liberating joy of flying a powered paraglider.

8. Inspire the next generation of pilots by taking part in EAA’s Young Eagles program!
