One Glorious 1928 Lincoln-Page

After he bought it new in 1928, Chuck Balling’s Lincoln-Page LP-3 was damaged in a landing accident after it had flown just 60 hours. He disassembled it, put the pieces in a chicken coop, and the airplane sat unrestored until its third owner, Greg Heckman, bought it and started restoring it in 2013. Greg, EAA 232210, worked on it for four and a half years and made the triumphant first flight on May 31, 2018, exactly 90 years after the airplane originally left the factory. Learn more about this rare biplane in the March/April 2019 issue of EAA’s Vintage Airplane magazine.
