Noted warbird collector Rod Lewis, EAA Lifetime 498155, brought his de Havilland Mosquito to Oshkosh for EAA AirVenture 2019. Rod’s example, one of what is believed to be only four airworthy examples of the type in the world, is an FB Mk.VI that was built in 1945. It entered service with the Royal Air Force in an operational training unit, and was then sold to the Royal New Zealand Air Force. The airplane ended up in California and sat for decades until it went back to New Zealand when Avspecs began the four-year restoration in 2014.
