Congratulations to Gordon Davis, EAA Lifetime 787156, on the completion of N374PS, a Van’s RV-7A. Gordon received his airworthiness certificate Wednesday, March 14.
In part due to the commute to the airport and the fact that as president of the local EAA Chapter 1522 his hangar seems to be the local hangout, Gordon completed his aircraft over the course of seven years, mostly working on the weekends, with the occasional weeknight thrown in for good measure.
While Gordon said the sheet metal skills seemed to come pretty easily, he admits that, with a full glass panel, the hardest part was wiring the electrical and avionics system, which took up about a year of the build. Congrats Gordon!
