EAA Chapter 977 celebrated a milestone by holding its 10th Annual Shamrock Fly-In in its brand new chapter hangar on March 17 at the Cannon Creek Airpark (15FL) in Lake City, Florida.
The annual fly-in previously was held in a member’s hangar. Chapter members are justifiably proud of their new home: a brand new, fully finished, heated and air-conditioned hangar, complete with a porch, kitchen, library, and two bathrooms.
Clear blue skies and warm temperatures saw more than 65 visiting aircraft attend the event and more than 220 lunches served. Our famous “decadent dessert table” was again filled to the brim with desserts prepared by friends and neighbors.
A car show and an arts and crafts display added to the fun. Everyone who attended enjoyed themselves and vowed to come back next year.
