I took my 4-month-old daughter Amelia on her first flight this month — a cross-country from Boise, Idaho, to Bend, Oregon. When we took her out of her seat to come up front she instantly reached for the yoke with both hands! However, due to her short stature she was forced to look left and fly by reference to the panel. Despite the difficulty seeing out the window, she still appeared to enjoy her first flight.
