Pilots and aviation enthusiasts alike gathered in New Holstein July 19-23 to share their passion for flight. The New Holstein Super Cub Fly-In has been an annual not-to-be-missed event since 2002. Roughly 60-150 attendees and campers show up each year, bringing a who’s who of aviation.
Although New Holstein is 40 miles away from EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, the feeling was all too familiar: a bunch of like-minded individuals coming together to celebrate their love of aviation. The event kicked off with EAA Chapter 237 hosting a pancake breakfast, followed by EAA Young Eagles flights. At 1 p.m., about 30 STOL aircraft, including Kevin Quinn from the Flying Cowboys, participated in the STOL demos. The event ended with a complimentary bus ride to Oshkosh for Super Cub attendees to enjoy the rest of the week at AirVenture.
