This time on EAA’s The Green Dot, we welcomed John Young, co-founder of the ArkanSTOL Ozark Backwoods Challenge, an event that put a unique twist on traditional STOL flying. Located in Ozark, Arkansas, tucked away in a valley of rolling mountains and roaring rivers, is where competitors are faced with landing on four different runways, reversing direction, and taking off again for the best time. John sat down (virtually, that is) to talk about the challenge and what’s in store for this year’s event.
