I hope everyone has been able to recharge after AirVenture and is ready to jump into fall! Here in Oshkosh, the temperatures are starting to creep down, and some leaves are even starting to change color. We experience more and more visitors at our museum and have several events upcoming. You’re welcome to attend! While AirVenture is a large part of what we do, there are various public events that keep us engaged with aviation enthusiasts year-round.
Space Day
EAA’s annual Space Day is right around the corner on October 7, 2023. The event focuses on space flight and getting kids of all ages engaged with aerospace through a variety of hands-on activities. Thank you to all our amazing volunteers who help us host such a wonderful event! Read more >
Christmas in the Air
Celebrate the holidays with EAA’s annual Christmas in the Air, a FREE community and family event for all ages at the EAA Aviation Museum on Saturday, December 2!
Roam the museum to enjoy the holiday decorations throughout the exhibits. Enjoy local music, choral, and dance groups performing on various stages including Julie’s Touch of Silver! Other activities include writing letters to Santa, enjoying cookies and milk, and a holiday-themed scavenger hunt.
Amidst all the fun, do not miss the arrival of Santa Claus as he flies in by helicopter at noon to visit with all the children! Have your picture taken with Santa or take your own family photos in staged areas throughout the museum.
Donations of unwrapped toys for Toys for Tots or non-perishable food items for Father Carr’s Place are greatly appreciated. All events and museum admission are free from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Read more >
