Scout Shares What EAA Means to Her

By James Clark, EAA Lifetime 466543

11-year-old Margaret Clark, my daughter, is working on her communications and aviation merit badges for Scouting America, and she would love to share the following:

“My dad has been in EAA since he was a kid, and his dad, my grandpa, signed him up for EAA at the Oshkosh air show when he was 14 years old. I went to Oshkosh for the first time in 2022 and again in 2024. I saw lots of cool airplanes there, and we went to the Seaplane Base. My grandpa had a floatplane in Alaska, and I got to see airplanes like he used to fly off of Lake Hood. My favorite airplane at Oshkosh was the P-51 Mustang. I have also made a Young Eagles flight, and I flew in a Piper Cherokee down to First Flight Airport at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. I love Oshkosh and all the cool airplanes that EAA lets me see.”

As you can see, young Margaret is off to a great start and has fantastic taste!
