We hope you had a great year of flying and all things aviation in 2025. 2026 is shaping up to be an exciting year for Alberta aviation events. We have carefully planned our two upcoming tours to avoid major air shows and farming-intensive months, allowing for maximum participation and enjoyment. Details may change, so please visit our Facebook page and website for updates.
Our first tour is scheduled for June 6, beginning with an afternoon aviation celebration at the Hanna Airport. Many of us will stay overnight, providing an opportunity to gather for supper, share stories, and of course, talk aviation. The following morning, we will fly to Innisfail for breakfast, then continue on to Castor for lunch, where we’ll spend time with the local community and enjoy skeet shooting!
Our second tour planned for August 15 is a unique, single-stop event at the Fort McMurray Airport. The day will feature festivities, an early lunch, and an organized aerial tour of select oil sands operations north of the city.
Our visits to these communities are designed to encourage camaraderie, inspire aviation interest, promote tourism, and support economic development at community airports across Alberta. We welcome all newcomers — please reach out if you are new to the group. We are happy to answer any questions. Parking and events are preplanned, so be sure to register! Registration typically begins the month before the event.
