Congratulations to 18-year-old Jack Maechtle, EAA 1120742 of Yorkville, Illinois, on the completion of his private pilot checkride. Jack is a former Young Eagle who decided to take flying lessons at SimplyFLY in Aurora, Illinois, and has since continued his journey there. He first earned his sport pilot certificate while still in high school and working part time at SimplyFLY. Then, after graduating high school early, Jack started working full time at SimplyFLY and completed his private pilot certificate on May 2. Jack’s future plans include becoming a flight instructor and joining the Marine Corps. Way to go Jack!
