Juli Martinez was selected from among her fellow students in the Angelo State University aviation program to represent the program and share her aviation journey. She was chosen because of her outstanding academic performance, leadership, professionalism, and exemplary character — qualities that have distinguished her throughout her training.

Juli’s success is one of the proudest accomplishments of EAA Chapter 1088. Thanks to the generous support of our members, we were able to sponsor her through the Ray Aviation Scholarship program, helping her take another important step toward her dream of becoming a professional pilot. Watching her continue to excel is a testament to the value of investing in the next generation of aviators.

Juli had the unique opportunity to meet with Sean P. Duffy, the 20th U.S. Secretary of Transportation, where she shared her journey at Angelo State University’s aviation program. She also met with Congressman August Pfluger, who represents Texas’s 11th Congressional District. Their conversation focused primarily on securing funding for the San Angelo Regional Airport control tower.

Juli continues to be an outstanding ambassador for EAA Chapter 1088, the Ray Aviation Scholarship program, and general aviation. Her achievements reflect not only her own dedication and hard work but also the impact that our chapter can have when we invest in young people with a passion for flight. We look forward to following her journey and celebrating the many milestones that still lie ahead.
